Dummist statement of the week was Trump telling that the forest fires in California could be avoided if California would stop dumping their water into the ocean. The water that he is talking about is the flowing rivers of California that do end up draining into the sea. What does he expect them to do, seal off every river stream and creek before it hits the ocean?

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The Trump administration is further right than any since the 60's and so the further right the government goes, the further left the opposition goes and in the case of the Dems, they are further left than any party in US history, dangerously left in my opinion. In most of my lifetime, you couldn't get a cigarette paper between the differences of the two parties in the US, now you could drive an armoured division between them. I remember a Yank explaining his country's politics back in the 80's to one of our TV presenters and he said to his interviewer, we have the Republican party, which you call conservatives and then we have the Democratic party, which you call the conservatives. That's how it was, as the US was a conservative country through and through. Contrary to engendered belief, it has always been the political left wing i.e. socialists, which has instigated the greatest mass murders in modern history, it is the left which has used systematic brutality in its cause and aims. Winston Churchill once said..... in the future the fascists will return as anti fascists and the great man is right once again, why their black and brownshirts even call themselves antifa (anti fascist) and they are their political enforcers and if you don't think so, give me one example of a socialist party condemning their violence and intimidation. Fascism is socialism by another name. It means control by the state of every aspect of your life. True fascists could once be found in a couple of South American states, a minority infestation the British eradicated following the Falkland's war but that's it. Nazis weren't fascists, they were socialists. Mussolini invented Nazism and he was a life long communist. Nazism was just an alternative branch of the same ideology. Hitler's party were the National Socialists, which came with all of the trappings of the Soviet model with one exception, you could own a business in socialist Germany. This mental derangement is taking hold in many parts of the US right now, complete with threats, intimidation and violence against none conformists. A country run by present day democrats will be a vastly more divided and unequal country than any time since the civil war. Be careful what you wish for.

America is learning the lesson we learnt years ago - if a country veers too far one way the opposition will veer too far the other in compensation. Obama was, by American standards, too far left, so the Republicans under Trump have gone too far right; as a consequence the Democrats are leaning even further left. It could take a decade or more to resolve with the destruction at the polls of one side before they learn the lesson. We saw this over here 35 years ago.

Shall we start with his unwinnable trade war. He's already, just days in, adopted the true Socialist measure of state aid for US farmers suffering from lack of orders; his supporters froth at the mouth at the mention of Socialism, but their beloved hero is putting into practice measures that any Socialist government would be proud of.

The sheer hysteria on the left and it is hysteria, is alarming to say the least. The latest employment of a journalist by the New York times and the left's defence of her extraordinary statements and rank racism highlights their hypocrisy. I've said before socialism = hypocrisy hypocrisy = socialism. She likes being to cruel to old white men. She pisses on whites. Whites smell like dogs. Need any more? Yet who's to blame for this? Well not her, as far as the left is concerned because they say she was attacked on social media and this so upset the poor girl, she was forced to respond to whites like she did. No evidence of these attacks on her have been forwarded as yet and I get the intsy wintsy feeling they won't appear and the left will then say they have been retracted to save us all getting upset once more. So, to summarise, she wants to piss on whites and get her jollies by being cruel to old white men and it's all the fault of those old white men.

Trump is learning, always learning, that to have a successful economy you have to adopt a "mix and match" attitude, no Socialist economy has ever succeeded and no truly non-interventionist Right Wing one will either. China is a good example of how to make it work.

Under the Shah, Iran was moving towards a more secular western type lifestyle, the problem was, it was moving a little too fast for the radicals. It was an example of a minority taking power, despite being a minority. The military should have stepped in and prevented the revolution, by stopping the arrival of the Khomenei. When he arrived, it was too late and just about every officer in the Iranian army was executed. Following Trump's sanctions, it looks like we're heading for another revolution there, as the populace is rising up, intent on reversing the country back towards a more secular example. I look forward to seeing all those barbaric, radical mullahs swing.

Moderate reformers often suffer the consequences; they're too liberal for some and not liberal enough for others. The best example I think is Alexander II of Russia who was assassinated in 1881.

Trump is already threating the countries that are still doing business still with Iran. The four major ones are Britain, France, Russia and China. Right now we are having a squbble with the Saudi's over human rights violations. They have started selling off any of their Canadian holdings over it.

I see the German company that produces the drug used in American executions said if they do use it for that then they will sue the American Government.

All this from a man who couldn't serve his country in anyway because he had heel spurs.

President Trump hit Sen. John McCain in a speech hours after signing a defense bill named after the Arizona Republican.

Trump, speaking at a New York fundraising event, sarcastically referred to McCain as "one of our wonderful senators," and referenced McCain's key vote against a proposed repeal of the Affordable Care Act.

"ObamaCare, we got rid of the individual mandate, which is the most unpopular aspect," Trump said. "I would've gotten rid of everything, but as you know, one of our wonderful senators said 'thumbs down' at 2 o'clock in the morning."

The comment prompted a small chorus of boos from the audience.

A good president is one who manages to get more things right than wrong and so far he's achieved that. It's not Trump's policies people hate so much, it's him and all thoughts and actions are dictated by that hate of him, a hatred that manages to suspend all reasonable and logic thought at times.
