Date Posted:08/01/2022 09:46:34Copy HTML Today, 8 January, is (or would be) the birthday of three of the greatest voices in music - Elvis Presley (87), David Bowie (75) both now deceased of course. But the third supreme vocalist is 85 today, Dame Shirley Bassey. I don't know if she's well known across the Atlantic, but she's a big name over here. She has one of the strongest voices you'll ever hear and sang the theme tune for three Bond films. Listen to Goldfinger with the sound turned up so the neighbours can hear. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.
Arnold Bennett

Re:Three Great Voices Date Posted:09/01/2022 11:44:23Copy HTML I can't say that Bowie had a great voice but he did have a musical talent. As the years went by I get to admire Elvis more and more. Shirley was brilliant. |

Re:Three Great Voices Date Posted:09/01/2022 12:11:45Copy HTML I thought Bowie was talentless & a strange lad indeed. Elvis of course was the "King." |
