Yes I did look up chicken vindaloo.  It would be way too spicy for me, as most Indian dishes are.  I love the name, though, and love saying it.  Ghost chilis?!  Really?  Those things can kill you (truth).  We have a Napalese restaurant here and I don't know how that differs from straight up Indian cooking.  Before the Great Lockdown, we ate there and they give you a 1-10 level choice of spiciness.  I chose 1 and it was delicious, especially using the basmati rice to balance it.  Still, I felt I could belch fire.

While I don't normally drink beer, I admit an ice cold beer with BBQ is hard to beat.  For the mornings, it takes a minimum of 3 cups of industrial strength coffee, with cream and sugar, to oil the gears enough to get going.  I have to stop the coffee before noon; elsewise, I'm bouncing off the walls until 1:00 a.m.

Only Barbarians drink ice cold beer. Maybe savages too. It's also hard on the guts. Southern girls should stick to near beer which is more their speed and that way they aren't serving guests burnt offering at BBQ's.

For spices are you talking curry? Eating Indian food is like eating at a real Mexican place. Never order the real hot stuff or you will end up with scars on your tongue.

Curry is probably Britain's national dish and by and large, we're all experts over here. I don't eat a lot of curry now, probably one every three weeks and I like them medium hot. My brother can't get them hot enough and has a plate made out of the same material as a shuttle reentry tile to take the heat. If I eat just one fork full it ruins my year. It was the Raj who first fetched the recipe home, along with their own private Indian chefs. Fact is, there are but a handful of true Indian restaurant in Britain, they're 90% Bangladeshi but being a muslim state, they're not going to admit that to the British public, as 90% of us don't know that fact. You can't eat egg or bacon or sausage without HP sauce, it's against Queen and country. I always had it on chips when I was a kid, must try that again sometime.
