None of us appear to be able to use the Quote and Reply facility, which makes replies to comments two or three posts back look out of place.

So this is to Pete's two posts back - It's very disconcerting that our Irish history/literature posts have disappeared, I was going to bring up the Vikings and their first raids on Ireland in 795.

Start a new thead then Mark. We all enjoy the Vikings. That is except Johnny come lately Christopher Columbus who came second in the race.

Aimoo has kicked out our newest member, Greystarfish1.  I am in touch with her and have posed the problem to the aimoo help board.

Greystarfish was never a fully fledged member, but was able to post messages, very curious. All she has to do is formally apply as we did.

I checked our old members list and couldn't find her on it. I think she was a member of aimoo but not of our group ever.

Aimoo fixed my problem. I am now, back in the group. I do have Irish and Ulster Scots, in my family tree.

By the way the dating form of, for example, 12 August, is perfectly acceptable.  It is annoying when they use numbers only, however.  Putting the date before the month, if I'm not mistaken, is military form and I like it.

Both gathering seemed to go off without too many problems. I don't think face covering should be allowed to be worn in any demonstration or protest.
