Re:HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021 Date Posted:08/06/2021 01:29:26Copy HTML Is there any evidence of trouble in the palace back then? If not I suggest Meghan is the first darkie who married into the royal family. Live respected, die regretted

Re:HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021 Date Posted:08/06/2021 05:38:36Copy HTML Africans can be royals too. We had a medical examiner (county coroner) who was a Nigerian prince. Well he claimed to be anyway. Black as the ace of spades with an last name you couldn't pronounce. Lovely accent tho. Even Canadians can be royals, see Guy Lombardo's band. If you can remember his name I'll look him up and confirm or deny his Royal credentials. |

Re:HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021 Date Posted:08/06/2021 07:48:35Copy HTML Wikipedia says this about Phillipa (one source thinks the description is of her sister, though): The lady whom we saw has not uncomely hair, betwixt blue-black and
brown... Her face narrows between the eyes and its lower part is more
narrow than her forehead. Her eyes are blackish-brown and deep. Her nose
is fairly smooth and even, save that it is somewhat broad at the tip
and flattened, and yet it is no snub-nose... Her lips are full,
especially the lower lip... Her lower teeth project a little beyond the
upper; yet this is but little seen... All her body is well set and
unmaimed; and nought is amiss so far as a man may see. Moreover, she is
brown of skin all over, much like her father. And she will be of the age
of nine years on St. John's day next to come, as her mother said. She
is neither too tall nor too short for such an age; she is of fair
carriage. The damsel is well taught in all that becometh her rank and
highly esteemed and well beloved by her parents and of all her meinie,
in so far as we could inquire and learn the truth. In all things, she is
pleasant enough, as it seems to us.[11] Meghan's ingenuity could have made Philippa black and I still say it would have been a better name for the Sussex baby girl. In my opinion, giving her the Queen's own nickname, which apparently was used only by Prince Philip, diminishes the integrity of the Crown. "It is forbidden to spit on cats in plague-time."

Re:HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021 Date Posted:08/06/2021 10:03:56Copy HTML They were the best, Dick Clark couldn't hold a candle to them for New Year's Eve festivities. I know they played the odd time at Sunnyside dance Hall on the Toronto waterfront and at the Band Shell at the CNE, so must have also played at Crystal Beach. He was born in London Ontario which just made the 6 o'clock news for the last couple of days. A family of Muslims were out for a walk and stopped to cross at the lights when a male 20 year old decided to drive his half ton truck up onto the sidewalk and run them all over on purpose. He managed to kill the Mother and Father, Grandmother and their 15 year old daughter. The only one to survive was their 9 year old son who is in hospital. He has been charged with 4 counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted first degree murder and for sure it will be treated as a hate crime which will double the sentence. |

Guy was into boat racing & so was I. His personal boat was a double planked mahogany beauty named "Tempo." I raced B Stock runabouts on the mighty Niagara, I was in my early teens. |

Wildroot Charlie was a boat from the Wildroot Cream Oil Co. which was men's hair oil here in Buffalo. The boats back then had WWII aircraft engines & were a hoot to watch & listen. They use to have Miss Supertest on display at the Canadian National Exibition each year and it wasn't a small boat when you get up close to it. |

Re:HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021 Date Posted:27/06/2021 10:40:56Copy HTML I would see this as an ominous sign for Harry; i.e., the Queen doesn't want anyone near when she talks to the recalictrant prince. "This evening, the Queen, 95, was seen driving herself towards Frogmore Cottage, where Harry is staying while in the UK," The Mirror report explained. "It is not known if the Queen and Harry actually saw one another in person, as the prince must self-isolate for five days due to Covid travel restrictions." Note the picture in this article which backs up my theory: Harry is still one of her favourites Shula. Don't anyone tell you otherwise. "It is forbidden to spit on cats in plague-time."

The proper name of the place was Frognomore by the Scotts but the name was shortened to Frogmore by the English. |

Re:HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021 Date Posted:29/06/2021 07:20:08Copy HTML The mausoleum on the right is the burial place of Queen Victoria's mother Victoria, Duchess of Kent. It was built in 1861 so the capitol came first. However it was based on the design of the Howard Mausoleum at Castle Howard in Yorkshire which was constructed in the 1730s, so perhaps the Yanks copied the English design, wouldn't be the first time. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.
