Date Posted:04/08/2018 08:18:40Copy HTML From 1904 to 1908 Great Britain carried out a campaign of racial extermination against the Herero & Nama people of Namibia. After confiscating the land the English began shooting these cattle-herding nomads, but that was too slow. So British colonial troops drove the tribespeople into the desert, leaving tens of thousands to die of thirst. Those who survived were placed in concentration camps where they died of disease or torture. By the end of the campaign 100,000 Namibians had died at English hands. OOOPS, should be Germans.........but they probably learned the skills required from the English. Barmy Tommy Live respected, die regretted

Tommy lad, I see you've used the word barmy! We'll make a Brit out of you yet, you just need a little more training. Do you think you've got another 30 years in you?

Re:FORGOTTEN GENOCIDE Date Posted:04/08/2018 08:43:15Copy HTML More likely the Germans learnt it from the Yanks' treatment of the native Americans. Berlin has only recently begun renaming streets that are dedicated to former African colonial figures from that era. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:FORGOTTEN GENOCIDE Date Posted:05/08/2018 08:21:52Copy HTML I see that the Pope today condemed executions and the death penalty saying the church law that had allowed it is way out of date and doesn't apply anymore. On the other hand the Governor of Illinois who is a staunch Catholic used his own money to have it reintroduced in his State before the up coming elections. It was stopped by the Demo's when they were in charge but the present Govenor is now a Republican. |

Re:FORGOTTEN GENOCIDE Date Posted:05/08/2018 11:47:40Copy HTML I think "learnt" is appropriate when saying something has been learned. "Learned" refers to a well-read person.

Re:FORGOTTEN GENOCIDE Date Posted:09/08/2018 07:36:30Copy HTML I think "learnt" is appropriate when saying something has been learned. "Learned" refers to a well-read person. I would say the opposite a learnt person would be more well read person. |
