Trump is now upset because he knows his son will be had up for lieing to the investigation when it is released that Trump knew first hand about the meeting with the Russians. His Lawyer has already said that he knew about it.

It's now over 4000 times that Trump has either lied or told mistruths to the American people. The party seems to using up all their time on damage control. Today Trump admitted that he did know about the meeting with the Russians in the Trump Tower and the meeting was to obtain dirt of Hillary. The noose grows tighter.

But this is where things got bizarre. In response to Canada's statement, the Saudi regime's reaction seemed more deranged than firm. The Saudis expelled the Canadian ambassador, put a stop to new trade and investment, barred their citizens from receiving medical treatment in Canada, instructed their overseas asset managers to dump their Canadian assets "no matter the cost" and recalled 15,000 students from Canadian universities, jeopardizing their education. By any measure, it was an overreaction, which left most analysts confused. After all, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights used similar language in the weeks prior, but MBS didn't sever ties there, nor did he recall his ambassador to the UN.

So why Canada and why now? There are at least two reasons to note.

First, there is  speculation that MBS's move was a calculated attempt at deterring foreign criticism as he attempts to bring Saudi society in line with his  new vision . The argument, pushed by some Saudi-paid lobbyists, is that he needs to do this in order to assuage regressive elements in society. But even if this response was, in theory, a convincing deterrent, the bungling way in which Saudi media reacted – calling out "Canadian human rights abuses," for example  – shows more  laughable incompetence than national pride.

Canada is perhaps a Western country that Saudi Arabia could take aim at, as a signal to other countries who may wish to speak out about human rights in similar ways. Canada was a safer target economically, as the Saudi state has extensive trade deals with both the U.K. and the EU, while the U.K. benefits from hundreds of billions of pounds spent by Saudi tourists . It is almost certain that MBS watched U.S. President Donald Trump's recent trade spat with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and saw an opportunity to hit at a liberal Western country, and appear to be standing up for "national sovereignty."

Second, and at a more profound level, MBS is worried about effective social movements in Saudi Arabia. As this  audio alert from May explains , the regime wants to pose such reforms as the lifting of the driving ban as a gift from a magnanimous reforming monarchy, rather than the result of 25 years of defiance, activism and consciousness-raising by two generations of Saudi women. If the reform is seen as a victory for grassroots activism, two things could follow: it may spawn ever-more political rumblings internally, and these activists could form alliances globally, become media stars and be spurred on by countries pushing universal human rights – like Canada.

If Canada folds, some fear that a line would be drawn in the sand, and behind that line, petty Arab dictators could do what they want with their activist communities, without as much as a complaint from the world. This is exactly what these dictators want: to snuff out the last voices of dissent in their countries so that they can hear no voice but their own.

The prospect of international solidarity with native human rights activists is so deeply threatening that taking a sledgehammer approach to some tweets from the Canadian foreign minister seemed, to a fresh and inexperienced MBS, completely justified.

Oh dear, Trudope has decided to step out of his comfort zone as the world's ponciest leader and pick a fight with Saudi Arabia. HA! They in turn have rounded on him and the world is awaiting his grovelling apology. Tell me something, do you think they would talk to Trump like that? And why not? Canada has said no more that the rest of the world has said to Saudi Arabia about human rights abuses already and if the shoe fits then they should wear it. They say they are moving forward by letting a 100 or so women drive cars but there is much more to human rights than just that. Trudeau is standing strong on this countries views were many western countries including the States and Britain don't have the balls to say anything encase they lose any trade with the Saudi's. The question is already being asked by Republicans in the house, why hasn't Trump stepped up on Canada's side over this issue? Right now the Saudi's are on a killing spree thanks in part to the new weapons supplied to them by Trump. I don't hear you mention Turkey which is a much bigger problem right now since Trump put sanctions on them and they are a NATO country. Their money has tanked and they have been left with no choice other than to go to the Russians and China for aid. Do I think this should have happened without talking to the Turks first? No, but that doesn't mean I hold Turkey in any high reguard at the best of times for the way they have been acting.

The Turkey thing has caused the markets around the world to drop. It seems like everytime now Trump opens his mouth the markets drop. They said yesteday that the average American is starting to carry too much debt again in charge card payments and mortgages. If history holds true it could mean another bubble burst is coming in the near future.  

If you are carrying debt, then don't spend money you haven't got. Mind you, millions of Americans now have money to spend following the lowest unemployment figures in well over twenty years. You keep telling me about market falls, yet you've failed to mention, just once, the numerous times the markets have broken all time records, why is that? The markets were doing well in 1928 and again in 2007 before they collaped. You thing the employment rate is doing so great under Trump and jobs have been created. Here's a fact. Under Trump jobs have increased by 700,000 since he has been in office. Under Obama's two terms they increased by 2,300,000. So as you see Obama created 3 times the numbers as Trump. The reason people are spending more is not from any pay raise they have received since Trump threw the rich a big bone. 90% plus of the companies never passed any money they saved on to there workers but used the money to buy back their own stock and pay their share holders and CEO's more money. Ask the average American how much of a raise have they received. Some companies did hand out a one time 1000 dollar bonus but that was so that the companies could write it off for that tax year. Along with this the American farmer can't get rid of their pigs or soy. Now the Trump Government has to pay the farmers not to produce their products to the toon of 25 billion dollars. Yup Trump is doing a fine job. Now that Trump has slapped tariffs on softwood lumber from Canada the price to build a new one has gone up by 9 thousand dollars. He has taken more away from middle class American that he has ever given them. The price of everything in the States has gone up. When Shula goes to Walmart things are going to cost at least 25% more soon.
