Around 30C for ten days or so now, and unusually the hottest places have not been in the south east, but in our neck of the woods, the north west and north Wales. It's the same as what you call a hosepipe ban. No washing cars, no watering lawns or gardens. The only thing allowed is watering house plants. Speaking of rain, the monsoon season is coming to Thailand and the hope of getting that soccer team out of the cave seems to be dwindling.

Our water restrictions begin with a ban on hosepipes and sprinklers to water the garden, then it extends to a ban on washing the car etc. Ultimately it could lead to restricted supplies to industry with priority given to households, but over here rain will come before too long.

He is currently a federal court judge in the District of Columbia. Like Neil Gorsuch, Judge Kavanaugh clerked for Justice Kennedy (the one who is retiring). And like Justice Gorsuch, Judge Kavanaugh is a textualist. I really like that. I think he will be confirmed pretty quick.

The very hot weather followed us through Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. 70 seniors in Quebec died from the heat when they were experiencing power outages here. a ban on hosepipes. Do you mean garden hoses Mark?? My hibiscus plants are loving this weather if nothing else is. I came home to burnt brown lawns. |

I must say, a day of it was spent outside the city, looking at the Redwoods and getting pissed at the various vineyards on the way. Naturally I spent my time at the famous pier and we only skirted the main city but I can't say I saw any of the underlife that infests the place right now. I was watching a programme on the city and was shocked at speed the place is deteriorating, which is wholly due to the screaming lunatics of the left, who have taken over the asylum. Crime there is higher than 92% of the rest of the USA, fuelled by a drug dependency culture which the authorities encourage and actually subsidise by supplying....wait for it..... 400,000 syringes a month and paying for indoor injection shops. Naturally, all those responsible citizens are keen to recycle their syringes, and recycle them to the streets, where thousands of them lie and armies of government employees roam around picking them up for them. Thousands of these turds frequent many areas of the downtown along with their actual turds, as thousands of them are openly shitting in the streets and as not a one of them has ever been prosecuted, it's not going to stop. Never mind, more jobs created, real jobs, as the left likes to call them. I hear such unbelievable statistics like these and you have to wonder why the left are never concerned by them. For instance, it said that the state government spends an average of $46,000 on every homeless person annually. They are now going to let illegal immigrants have the vote too. You have to wonder.

I don't know about you but when I want to do a posting, I go to another posting of one of you, click on quote and reply, delete the posting, so I can then enlarge the font and do a post. Does anybody know how to delete a post? I press delete and the screen dims but sod all happens.

Posts can be deleted by going to Actions> delete, I can do it on your behalf too. In fact I just have.
